I didn’t expect to say much about this shower room, as the pictures tell their own story but I just couldn’t help myself as there is so much to tell!
The lady we undertook this project for is a beauty therapist and this was her vision of heaven. She was very clear with her colour scheme and knew exactly what she wanted, huge mirrors enhancing the very impactful tile and furniture colours of charcoal black and gloss scarlet.
Adding bountiful lighting just added the extra impact.
We had to remove a bedroom window to get the mirror and Corian top in – they would not bend round the stairs!
There is an integrated basin within the Corian top, it is just somewhat lost by the high lighting and mirror reflection.
You have to have a certain amount of braveness to go for something with such contrast to say a very normal bathroom of beiges, white, grey and I have to say that I love this room with it’s melodramatic scarlet and black.
The scarlet glass top was custom made and another very large mirror opposite the even larger mirror, all absolutely great for extra light, depth, impact and Wow factor!
The large circular object in the ceiling is a light tunnel, creating loads of natural light during the day.
The shower area ceiling is another favourite of ours; a gloss white waterproof panel, easy to clean and never any horrid splash-marks on paint, which can turn dark and ultimately spoil the impression of the shower area.
A Bette supersteel shower tray with extra glazed surface means that the tray will never discolour and will always maintain that high white gloss finish.
Three tiered glass downlights add the extras to the shower area.
